Universal Kids Resort is designed as a smaller-scale resort offering a 300-room hotel as well as a regional theme park with lands featuring multiple family friendly attractions, shows and character meet & greets as well as ample areas to play and rest for families with young children. Experiences are right sized for kids. This park is designed for young kids and their families to enjoy a taste of Universal’s iconic stories near to home.
We are thrilled to open Universal Kids Resort in Frisco, Texas on July 1, 2026.
Located in Frisco, Texas, Universal Kids Resort will be open most of the year. Any brief seasonal closures and schedule adjustments can be found here.
At this time, Early Park Admission will only be offered for guests staying at the Universal Kids Resort Hotel, subject to change. To use this benefit, guests must have separate valid theme park admission.
Universal Kids Resort was specifically designed and developed for families with young children, however, the park welcomes guests of all ages.
Guests under 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or designated chaperone at all times. The accompanying adult must be at least 18 years old and present a valid government issued photo ID showing date of birth.
Universal Kids Resort will feature seven themed lands including DreamWorks’ Shrek’s Swamp, Jurassic World Adventure Camp, Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants Bikini Bottom, Illumination’s Minions vs. Minions: Bello Bay Club, DreamWorks’ TrollsFest, DreamWorks’ Puss in Boots Del Mar and the Isle of Curiosity.
Kids and their families will be able to adventure, explore and play in a variety of attractions right sized for kids, meet and greets with their favorite characters and interactive play areas that help them imagine and play together.
To ensure guests have a vacation that's both fun and safe, certain rides and attractions at our theme park have restrictions based on height. All attractions also have health and safety warning signs posted at their entrance. Guests should make sure to read the signs while in the park and find out which rides are right for them and their family before experiencing. If a guest suspects their health could be at risk for any reason, or that they could aggravate a pre-existing condition of any kind, they should not ride.

Yes, we will offer Attraction Queue Accommodations at Universal Kids Resort. More information will be available closer to the park’s opening.
To safely experience our attractions, all passenger restraint systems – including lap bars, shoulder harnesses and seat belts – must be positioned and fastened properly. All our attractions have different restrictions and requirements. Team members can assist guests in understanding if riding along is possible.
Modified seating offers a little extra space and is available at the Pteranodrop attraction in Jurassic World Adventure Camp. We recommend speaking with a Team Member for any further assistance.
At this time, we do not offer express ride access privileges at Universal Kids Resort. As a theme park designed for exploration and the ability for guests to experience attractions at their family’s preferred pace, Universal Kids Resort enables guests to come across attractions and shows and create moments of discovery.

No, Universal Kids Resort rides and attractions will not include single rider lines.

The 1.5 Day General Admission Ticket can only be purchased with a Universal Kids Resort Vacation Package, through Universal Parks and Resorts Vacations. This ticket entitles one (1) guest admission to Universal Kids Resort on consecutive days, starting at 2:00pm on the first date selected.
As a regional theme park designed to bring a taste of Universal’s iconic stories close to home, Universal Kids Resort is set to welcome Texas Residents and those from the surrounding region. Discounts based on Texas residency will not be available.
Guests under two (2) years of age can visit for free at Universal Kids Resort. Any guest aged two (2) and above will require valid theme park admission.
Guests will need to select their visit date when purchasing and will need to call our Guest Contact Center at 888-331-9105 if they need to change their visit date. Prices and availability are subject to change.

In the event guests cancel and do not rebook their vacation package, they will receive an air credit to be used toward future travel that must be redeemed through Universal Parks & Resorts Vacations. The actual airfare could be higher at the time of redeeming the air ticket credit, which would be the traveler’s responsibility.

Yes, Universal Kids Resort offers a Silver Annual Pass and a Silver Annual Pass with parking. The quantity of passes will be limited and passes, or a pass type, may become unavailable for purchase at any time.
Your pass is valid for one (1) year from the first day of use. The first day of use for the Silver Annual Pass is when used for entrance to the park. The first day of use for the Silver Annual Pass with Parking is when used for entrance to the park or for parking using the designated Annual Pass toll plaza lanes, whichever comes first. All Annual Passes must be activated by visiting the park within one (1) year of purchase.
Note: Parking benefits are provided solely as part of the Universal Kids Resort Annual Pass program. Parking access obtained through third party programs, electronic toll passes, municipal or state programs, or other independent parking arrangements is not included in, exchanged for, or credited toward this Annual Pass.

The Silver Annual Pass allows a year of park admission to Universal Kids Resort Theme Park. The Silver Annual Pass with Parking allows for a year of park admission and includes free general parking at Universal Kids Resort Theme Park. Blockout dates apply for both passes. No other discounts or perks apply at this time.

Universal Kids Resort Hotel has 300 rooms.
Hotel guests will have a dedicated entrance to Universal Kids Resort, separate theme park admission required for park entry.
The hotel serves as the entrance to Universal Kids Resort, so no transportation is needed for hotel guests. However, if guests book with a partner hotel, they will need to contact that hotel directly for transportation options and availability.
Universal Kids Resort Hotel will have a variety of room types such as Standard Queen, Deluxe Queen, and Signature Queen which can sleep up to five (5) guests, and Family Suites, which can sleep up to six (6) guests. Rooms will have the options of Theme Park View, Pool View and Standard View with views such as theme park entrance, courtyard, and parking area for all types of families.
Early check-ins and late check-outs may be available by request for an additional fee, depending on availability and is not guaranteed.

Universal Express is currently not available at Universal Kids Resort and will not be offered as a benefit while staying at Universal Kids Resort Hotel.
Only trained service animals, as defined under applicable Texas and federal law, are permitted at Universal Kids Resort. Guests traveling with a service animal are required to note the service animal in their reservation or notify the hotel directly at least 48 hours prior to arrival. Emotional-support animals and pets are not permitted at Universal Kids Resort. Guests with unauthorized animals will be charged a $250 cleaning fee, and will be asked to check out.
Hotel guests staying at Universal Kids Resort Hotel will receive access to a dedicated theme park entrance, Early Park Admission, and complimentary merchandise delivery straight to the hotel (separate theme park admission required for park entry).

Yes, guests can rent wheelchairs, ECVs (including with canopy for an additional charge), and double strollers during their visit to Universal Kids Resort (subject to availability). Prices vary and are subject to change.
No, Single Strollers will not be available to rent at Universal Kids Resort.
Guests who rent a stroller, even if staying at the hotel, must return their Double Stroller rental before exiting the theme park. If they reenter the park on the same day, they may retrieve a Double Stroller for the remainder of the day at no additional charge by presenting that day’s ticket (QR code) or receipt.
Yes, Double Strollers rentals will be reserved for the entire selected date of the guests’ visit with valid proof of purchase (receipt).
